A private mail service provider “makes his company pass the inspection” in order to compensate the competitive advantages of the Deutsche Post in other respects. Business Excellence is the goal of an analysis of the core business processes, in which all steps are reconsidered concerning their chronology and are assessed with regards to run-through times and error rates. Personnel expenses and costs of non-conformity are the topic of detailed analyses, the tool costs are checked. The result is a one-year optimization program with about 25 individual projects, which, all in all, considerably increases the attractiveness of the mail service provider on the market…and, of course, rises the profitability, too.
